After researching and speaking with numerous members of The Internal Recruiter Talent Acquisition community, we have come up with a list of questions to make sure to bring with you to your next interview.
While there are many others that are important to consider, these were some of the most common we found in our research.
- Is this a new position or a backfill?
- What was the reason for the last person who held this role leaving?
- How does this position fit into the larger picture of the company?
- Who will I be directly reporting to?
- What skills or traits do you find your most successful hires have in common?
- What is the office/company culture like?
- What does success look like in this role?
- What metrics will I be accountable for?
- What are your 30/60/90 day expectations for me in this role?
- What is the greatest challenge I might ace in this role?
- What sort of training/development opportunities will I be able to take advantage of?
- What do you like most about working for this company?
Good luck interviewing and if there are any additional questions you feel are worthy of being added to the list please tweet us @hiringinsider
